Research Interests
Marie-Josée Fortin (Professor) is a world leader in spatial ecology. Fortin’s research focuses on conservation biology issues. She investigates how ecological processes and environmental factors affect species persistence, species dispersal, and species range dynamics.
She authored and co-authored several books:
Fortin & Dale. 2005 and 2014. Spatial analysis. A guide for ecologists.
Fletcher & Fortin. 2019. Spatial Ecology and Conservation Modeling: Applications with R.
